I purchased this sweater in all colors (medium). The black and the blue worked best for me. The gray color was too light, the beige didn't look that great on me, and the pink/white were too see-through. These have absolutely no tags/labels in them so you won't find any washing instructions; but, it appears you can wear these on either side (front/back). P.S. The fabric on these is VERY soft. Hopefully, when I do wash one, they won't "pill".UPDATE: Received washing instructions from seller (cold water, lay flat to dry). Only thing is, I put black sweater in the dryer, and left it in there for longer than anticipated (not recommended); HOWEVER, it came out beautifully with no "pilling" and, after (literally) a few shakes the sweater went right back into it's shape and my size.
