This is a single cast aluminum filter wrench; It won't break like the steel filter I bought a year ago - the 6 spot welds holding the two pieces together broke when I tied them together to remove the filter from the machine rendering the steel filter unusable. The aluminum wrench also has a hex nut on the end that can be used in place of the square hole for a 3/8" ratchet.
