***Update*** Finally broken. I've given myself 3 years and I'm guessing around 50-100 packets of cookies. I was considering ordering another one but recently got a different blender and now the Kitchenaid is better suited for Sunday porridge. I was a little nervous about buying it since it's not metal, but I was pleased with the durability and easy cleaning in the dishwasher. This beater completely replaced the standard that came with the mixer. I use this on a Kitchen Aid 600 and it doesn't have a spring to hold it securely like my previous Kitchen Aid did, but that wasn't a problem. The bright color is a bonus when it comes to finding things in a large kitchen drawer. I've had it for almost a year now and use it 2-3 times a week and it still looks the same as when I bought it.
