On the 2012 2.0 liter engine this sensor is located on the back of the engine in the thermostat housing next to the large coolant hoses. Expect coolant to spill out of the hole upon removal unless you have drained part of the radiator first. To remove, use a deep head, this element is already covered with thread sealant. 4 weeks of driving there were no problems.
