Genuine Hyundai part

On the 2012 2.0 liter engine this sensor is located on the back of the engine in the thermostat housing next to the large coolant hoses. Expect coolant to spill out of the hole upon removal unless you have drained part of the radiator first. To remove, use a deep head, this element is already covered with thread sealant. 4 weeks of driving there were no problems.

Wrong article. repackaged?

The part ordered for a 2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS came in clear packaging with a sticker covering the original part numbers. Definitely not OEM packaging as seen in other reviews. (Especially the one with the blue stripes that actually says Hyundai). The item did not match the picture in the description which is a correct replacement part and more importantly did not match the part taken from the car as the pictures show. Hours later, to remove the old sensor and then realize it was the wrong…

P0118 Error Fixed On 2002 Hyundai 2.7L Engine

This fixed the issue that was causing the P0118 error when diagnosing ODBII. Other symptoms were rough idle, stalling when engaging gear, intermittent engine revs. I also noticed that the electric fan started up immediately even when the engine was cold. The old sensor reported high temperatures, which caused the ECU to attempt to compensate. Once I replaced the sensor, all symptoms are gone and the engine runs fine. On the Hyundai engine, remove the engine cover, drain the coolant, detach both
