This is an RV wall switch extension, not a standard household extension. So when used with wall switch #12005 it works great. I used them to create wall switches for the reading lights over the bed in our fifth wheel. Since I had to lay the cables in the open tube, I made base plates out of oak wood to mount the switches on. There was also a little more room to connect wires to the back of the switches. I had a few questions about the parts to use, so I emailed JR Products and got a quick response. You make a lot of plastic parts for vans.
