Overview: **20W 12V Solar Panel Charger 20W 12V Monocrystalline PV Panel for RV Marine Boat Motorhome with 10A Charge Controller + Extension Cord ** I ordered this charger for my father so he can take the lead acid battery with him can keep campers charged in winter and long term storage. Below are his comments (pros and cons) on the system: BENEFITS: • Compact solar panel • Charge controller has multiple display options • Easy to set up - automatically detects correct charging voltage for battery • Maintains optimal battery level, even without a bright sun • 2 USB -Ports on the controller so they can be used to charge devices • A 'charge' socket on the controller for other things (e.g. light output), in addition to the battery charge output. waterproof storage box to protect from rain and snow • No fixing system or back panel - needs to be made yourself - not sure how or where to attach it to my caravan in the winter months. • Only spring clamp battery connectors are available, it would be nice to have screwed battery terminals for a semi-permanent installation • Panel and controller connections are screwed not mated, wire ends are not tinned so tend to fray • Instructions are a little heavy UnderstandableCompare Compared to many solar kits available from Revain, the charge controller on this system is definitely a bit more equipped with display and USB sockets. A few other minor tweaks (panel mount bezels, better battery cables, etc) and it's going to be a really good system. But for $45 for a 20W panel (can output about 1 amp in full sunlight) and a decent controller, it's a pretty good deal.
