The old trunk handle latch on my Silverado still worked and was intact, but the trim panel was broken and one of the clips broke from time to time. I decided to swap out the entire batch as the handle lock was included. It took less than 5 minutes to remove the old handle latch and replace with a new one, attach the clips and reattach the bezel cover. Everything fits perfectly and without any problems. I can open the tailgate again with no problems and it looks great!
