This is a ridiculously lame toy. First, all the sounds emit the same low squeak, which isn't like a squeak at all. In fact, the squeaking noise is drowned out by the clanking noise made when the plastic parts rub against each other. And despite the music symbols on the box, there are no music sounds. Second, each eggshell top is interchangeable, while the top of the purple egg "should" on the purple bar (and orange would go with orange and pink with pink, etc.), the top eggs go with all egg bases regardless of the colors to match. The only thing I like about this toddler toy is that the bottom of each egg has a shape that needs to be placed in the right spot for the egg to fit in the box (this helps with shape sorting). ). Additionally, the egg carton snaps open (and is compact) for easy storage. Overall I was very disappointed with this purchase and would return it if eligible for free return. Although I bought it at a bargain price (paid just over $11), I feel it was overpriced and would not recommend this toy. I'm really blown away by the overall positive rating for this toy (over 2500 4.5 reviews - I suspect most of them are fake).
