Worn toilet flange fixed!
Pulling out a 2002 toilet for replacement, I found a rusty 4 inch PVC/metal toilet flange that had been scraped under the last tile and had never been attached to the concrete floor. Since removing the PVC from the downspout seemed questionable, I attempted to remove the old metal ring from the piece of PVC. This piece matched the PVC perfectly and only needed a new thick wax gasket when tightened to create an airtight solution.
