I bought a black Intermerge carbon fiber license plate frame for two cars with special license plates. The edges of these holders are so small that the viewer can see the entire special license plate unhindered. The slot on the side of the frame allows the license plate to be inserted without stressing the holder and without the risk of tearing the material. The frame is also slightly stiffer than competing frames, giving the plate assembly extra strength when installed. Although the "carbon fiber template" appears to be the template used in the molding process, the template is not visible once the panel is in place and installed. .I would recommend this item for those who want a simple look without any special license plates getting in the way.
