I got a tattoo 6 days before my trek (visited four national parks in one week) and was very worried about infection as my tattoo was still peeling off. I bought this to protect my tattoo and the boy did. When I was camping I didn't have to change it. Pictured are four days of brutal heat, hiking, climbing and lots of mud. I was worried about the weird tan line but I didn't get it either! I would highly recommend it to anyone. I would say there was a bit of a learning curve but after a mistake or two you get the hang of it and honestly you only need one and it will take so long to want to pull it off.
