Doesn't work for backlight

Installed according to the instructions, the remote control doesn't work. The product is garbage. Plugged in so I can turn on the light with the light switch, when I press the remote the nice green light on the remote flashes but the light doesn't do anything. Do not buy this product, it does not work. I made the mistake of buying two and installing both. None of them work and not worth trying to get them out as I can still use the light switch. You are obviously hooked up correctly as the light is still being turned on and off with the switch!
