I'm updating my previous 3 star review as the seller contacted me and gave me better instructions on how to close and open the lid. The trick to closing is to align the spout with the handle and then rotate it 180 degrees clockwise. Rotate counterclockwise approximately 90 degrees to open. I still can't quite close my nose. It doesn't let water through and the threading on the lid is so specific and tight that it appears sealed. So the hole is closed enough for my purposes, but for aesthetic reasons, not being able to close it completely, I give it 4 stars. A stronger hand could close it completely. I'm a 38 year old female who works out regularly so I'm pretty average for the population so others might have a hard time as well. On the plus side it's a great looking jug and the perfect size. I'm looking forward to summer making iced tea in it. Customer service - 5 stars. As another user said, the lid doesn't close properly. Orientation is disabled and I cannot fully close the spout lid. When I water, I spill some water. If anyone wants to contact me with instructions as I may not be using it properly, I can update my review.
