I've used two sizes of these on French and glass paneled doors and they work but as longer 5/16" clamshell curtain rods with a pivoting end Adjustable width from 21" to 38". inches , there are a few issues to be aware of: - The ends of the rods have trouble fitting onto the brackets because the holes are a bit small and require little force to install. But once they are turned on, everything is fine. The strength of the bars is acceptable only for very light material and after installation they look good. However, if there is tension between the top and bottom bars (when the plate is tightened), they will bend, especially if the bars are stretched more than 18 inches. Because of this, I had to remount the panel and make it looser. So if you keep these two things in mind, you should have no problem using them successfully. And they look great after installation
