Review on Denso SK20R11 Iridium Spark Plug by Gerardo Cibrian

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I love Denso parts, I'm very glad they are made in USA/Japan.

High quality OEM plugs for my 2005 Toyota Landcruiser 4.7L V8 (UZJ-100), they are made in the USA from American and Japanese parts. They got into a truck with 105,000 miles and the spark plugs were never changed. Note that these are 16mm spark plugs so you will need to use a 5/8" spark plug head (in the US a 16mm spark plug head is pretty rare to find). None of my old spark plugs have been removed (the old spark plugs were from the manufacturer NGK). factory) and I rotated it to 14 ft/lbs on the FSM. I found on my truck that the 2 plugs closest to the firewall were the hardest to get out since I didn't have a shorter extension (4" vs 6"). and the plug+socket+extension+wrench ended up in the brake booster (driver's side) or firewall (passenger's side) so I had to fiddle a bit to get them out. I replaced the ignition coil covers and sockets with Denso kit #671-8484 (unfortunately not made in Japan or the US anymore, but in China) but seems to be of comparable quality. Oh, to even get to the plugs on the passenger side of my truck I had to remove the intake manifold. (two 10mm hex bolts and 4 hoses separately).

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • The list is getting long.
