Review on πŸ”§ DentOut Crossbar Dent Repair Kit by Michael Cormier

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fantastic product for small dents but needs more cleaning fluid and not for "moulded " panels/corners.

First: 2011 Jetta TDI - Factory paint, exterior paint looks like recycled coke cans. hand (long story). The thumb is crumpled at the bottom and the fingers are at the top. (twist) I'm not a mechanic and have no experience with bodywork of any kind. Doors to door panels. 2 out of 4 are practically missing, 2 others only have a small 1/8" defect. Max 2 tries each to get what I wanted. On the corner panel which was more extensive, corners etc. I'd say after about 18-20 tries i got to the point that it's not very good but looks a lot better than it was i just couldn't round the lines properly get it right as another user said clearly and my comments 2 ZERO impact on my factory paintwork - adhesive peels off car very easily 3. Little cleaning needed (although see bad for details) sticks but not enough cleaner everywhere Cleaning rubber heads can be very tiring and I've found that I used a lot of cleaning liquid about 20% left after 18-20 tries on the corner trim. Would like to know what the thing is or what substitute I can safely use. 2. Another user suggested more rubber tips and I agree. So m, you can work more while someone is cleaning another. Before I started using my fingernail, I chopped off most of it with a blade. Apply liquid to the nail to clean the rubber head. Tips: 1. The rubber handle where you apply the melted glue should be crystal clear and dry before trying again. The surface of the car must also be perfectly clean before attempting this. Make sure the melted glue is evenly spread over the grip and spread enough for the liquid to pick up the rubber head when applied to the car.4. Hold your head for a few seconds. Don't expect it to stick right away. Do not turn the handle like you are pulling a fish. Go slow and watch the metal rise. 6. I recommend being in a shady area. As soon as the sun started hitting my car. I seem to have been unlucky either that the glue stuck. Maybe I'm just tired. 6. Do not use this on a dent larger than 3-4 inches. And like I said, be careful with "molded" plates. They can do more harm than good. I'll post some options and maybe a video if it works.
