Turned out just like the picture. Of course it hurts a bit the first time, but over time I've noticed that my legs got a lot better, especially in pointe shoes. I would definitely recommend it to dancers especially those who do ballet. Although the plastic piece you put your foot in doesn't stretch very much, don't buy it if you have unusually large feet.
