I bought this board as an alternative to the ESP8266. It offers a dual-core processor, which means faster and smoother encoding (like an HTTP server on one core and a background refresh process on the other to read sensors, update values, etc.). I was impressed with the LED screen! I found the connectors easier to solder than some of the other boards I've looked at; As always, be careful when soldering near the LED screen! I used this board via Arduino IDE and VSCode; Make sure the Espressif ESP32 Dev driver is selected and that you have a spare USB-C cable (it's not micro-USB like most other boards)! Highly recommended!
