Review on 🪵 Stanley 16 791 Sweetheart Socket Chisel: Premium Quality Chisel for Ultimate Woodworking Precision by Billy Berry

Setting them up was an absolute nightmare. The bit edge of almost all manufacturers has either a broken or wavy front/back. I don't like using machines when getting new bits because I like to buy mid-quality bits, also because I don't want to spend a day getting them ready for use. Yes, they are sharp when supplied, but they definitely need to be sanded and polished before any "FINE" woodworking can be done. I wish I could just sharpen them on my Shapton 16000 mesh ceramic stone and then join them with leather and green compound, but I haven't seen a chisel that didn't need to be finished with my 300 Trend Diamond plate and then reworked. I don't mind if the rear end is concave because I love my Japanese bits. So if I can find a bit from a manufacturer that has something like that, I'm not keen on making it completely flat. However, if it's bulging or has an uneven cut, then I have a problem. It looks like they are the problem. My only pens come with the new set. I'm not sure how they will perform in the long run as I haven't had time to properly test them yet. I could post photos of each piece I received, but I don't want to post additional photos. However, I will include proof of what I mean. I am seriously considering contacting the manufacturer to return it or exchange it for another set due to the condition I received it in. I don't think every set is delivered this way but mine definitely arrived and I'm very disappointed and upset. .I bought them from Revain on May 14th, 2020. I wrote this review first and gave them 3 stars based on the condition that I received them from the manufacturer. The very first chisel I was able to use was today and it was 1-1/4". I didn't have time to use this chisel on oak and after 45 minutes the handle of this chisel just broke. Now I have this set downgraded 1 star.I have contacted Stanley to either replace the stylus or to find out something.Could they be fake?Check my set again.Why is the set I received in disappointing condition?
