I am an aspiring food photographer and have spent a lot of time and money creating my own photo backdrops. I wish I had just bought that first. It's a large format that allows for a lot of leeway, it has a matte finish and a very trendy looking subway tile. I would say it's even better than the real subway tile which usually has highlights in photos. regret buying this item. It is also easy to clean. The only thing I would like to say to the manufacturer is to make it double sided. Space is very important, and a one-sided background doesn't do double duty. Unless you use a white background, which is fine too.
