Review on Matte Charcoal Grey KitchenAid KCM1208DG 12-Cup Drip Coffee Maker with Spiral Showerhead by Nathan Hawkins

We bought this coffee maker because of the removable water tank. We liked that it can be filled with filtered water from the fridge. In addition, coffee grounds have no chance of getting into the water tank, which is great since our manufacturer cuisinart placed the coffee too close to the water supply and contaminated the tank. As far as we could see, the lid on this coffee pot is non-removable, so it's not dishwasher safe. Uncomfortable but okay. Finally the coffee was never that hot which was disappointing but the other features were worth it as in our rented house. Well, the jug fell into the sink while cleaning and broke, and now we find that the whole machine is useless because there is no spare jug. Who would offer a car without a replacement! Talk about planned obsolescence. I am very disappointed and expected more from this brand.
