This cable looked intact but didn't work with any laptop I've tried (latest Lenovo laptops) or monitor I've tried. Both screens I tried were recognized by the laptop via cable when plugged in (Samsung and Dell LCD panels) but neither of them ever showed an image despite the settings I tried, including settings for the refresh rate and resolution on the PC, turning on the extension and fiddling with the settings on the display and changing cables several times. The USB-C ports on these laptops work well for other devices, including USB-C to DisplayPort and other USB-C accessories, while the VGA ports on the displays work well when plugged into a real graphics card's VGA port are connected.
