worked flawlessly for several months

Now it doesn't seem to maintain a secure connection to my computer's USB-C port, so every few hours it stops working or the screen flickers on and off until the fumbling around with cables to re-establish the connection. It also never worked through a USB-C hub (not even a good one). So only buy if (a) you don't need it for long and (b) you have a free USB-C port on your computer.

Now I am very happy with my two monitors!

Exactly what I was looking for! I used this cable for my desk at home to power two screens. I have two old (2015) monitors and am using this cable to connect one to my USB-C and then use VGA to HDMI for the second screen. I'm left with two large monitors that extend (rather than duplicate) my screen. It's much better than a flimsy and bulky adapter.

No Returns/Refunds: Computer Accessories & Peripherals

The cable itself is made of nice material, but it doesn't work. I skimmed the reviews and thought this would be it. I tried the cable but it is defective; after connecting the second monitor flickered. Checked twice and used a different VGA cable to make sure it wasn't the screen and it wasn't. The seller does not have a return policy so I would recommend finding a seller who does in case this happens. Or at least suggest a replacement.

Cable began to function erratically after about 11 months of use. Now it doesn't seem to maintain a secure connection to my computer's USB-C port, so every few hours it stops working or the screen flickers on and off until the cable is fiddled with to secure the connection again. It also never worked through a USB-C hub (not even a good one). So only buy if (a) you don't need it for long and (b) you have a free USB-C port on your computer.

Correct cable only

After upgrading to macOS Catalina I found that my secondary display was not recognized. I found that there is a known issue with detecting Catalina HDMI connections. Some users have reported that VGA connections work on Catalina. This cable worked great and I was able to get it with next day delivery. Note. I didn't rate value for money because I had no idea how much these types of cables typically cost, but the cost seemed reasonable.

Doesn't work: Computer accessories and peripherals

This cable looked intact but didn't work with any laptop I've tried (latest Lenovo laptops) or monitor I've tried. Both screens I tried were recognized by the laptop via cable when plugged in (Samsung and Dell LCD panels) but neither of them ever showed an image despite the settings I tried, including settings for the refresh rate and resolution on the PC, turning on the extension and fiddling with the settings on the display and changing cables several times. The USB-C ports on these laptopsโ€ฆ
