Review on Duct Black 3920 BK Inches Yards by Adam Nelson

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good tape but only for specific uses

Absolutely good tape for specific uses. It's a bit difficult to rate this tape because some people buy tape for plumbing work and some people buy more of it for odd jobs around the house or even make something out of it. For the first group, this tape is not enough. It's thinner and feels less durable than standard silver-gray tape; I don't know if it really lasts long. In addition, it lacks the same rigidity as the more common varieties, making it easier to fold, making it difficult to use. However, for the latter group of people, this bond is more comfortable. It's thin so it fits tighter to the surface of things. Black is true black and will not fade over time. And it also stays sticky for years without drying out. Finally, the real question is, are you specifically looking for black duct tape? If you mean this color, then take this tape. But if you're just trying to play the role of duct tape, you're much better off going with the silver-grey, more durable standard variant.

Pros
  • General purpose tape available in 8 colors with strong adhesive for a secure connection
Cons
  • Requires a socket
