I love my fins in every way except the metal blades which rust if left in the tank and dry out when not in use so I ordered the plastic version. They don't remove coralline algae nearly as well as metal blades as you might expect, and they break fairly quickly if you try. However, they don't rust, so they're a great alternative for those of us who like to keep our cleaning supplies in the tank instead of hauling them out every time. That's pretty much the cause of the pinball in my opinion, so while they're not 100% happy with plastic blades, they work. I'd definitely recommend them to anyone who has the same rusting problem I have, but be prepared to burn through. these are pretty fast.
