This review is for the SAE version. All of the wrenches have a very hefty feel to them and could conceive of causing and damage to non-ratcheting portion of the wrench. There is a great size range for this set going from the tiny 1/4" up to 7/8", so this should cover everything that most people will come across. The ratcheting head is great for when you have a nut on a long bolt and can't get socket head on it especially if you are working in a tight area. I tried this with some stubborn nuts and had no issues with the ratchet doing its job.
