At first I found these filters attractive for the price and compatibility with my Kenmore humidifier of many, many years. When I received it, I was surprised by the look, which was quite different from the Kenmore filters I've used religiously for the entire time I've owned the humidifier, which is much stiffer paper and larger perforations. During the heating season, I noticed that the humidifier was running more or less constantly and the humidity in the house was still dropping. Inspection of the unit showed the tanks were full, the water level in the tank was normal, but the filters were wet only an inch above the water level, meaning no water was flowing into the tank.
