My red zebra cichlids give birth about every six weeks and I feel bad because the young are almost always eaten by other mbunas. I have a few rock survivors here and there, but I wanted more confidence. I caught a brooding mother who has been having babies for about 10 days now, holding her gently and opening her mouth over the wet mesh and she was pushing the babies out. They are all grouped together so you can easily pick them up with the incubator tube, just put the lid on and wall mount. Check them out now! They feel great and can roam around here until they are big enough to move into my tank with small cichlids. Great, cheap, efficient.
