Review on Dorman 722-009 Rear Rearward Leaf Spring Shackle: High-Quality Replacement for Ford / Mercury Models by Emmanuel Winschel

Bought for my '94 Explorer. If you're only replacing one shackle, you probably won't be using two bushings. Nuts and bolts are metric grade 9.8 which is good, about 90% above SAE grade 8. Good enough for this application. If you've got a good jack, a stem-breaking impact wrench, and the right head, it takes a leisurely hour to swap it out. Then it's time for a flashlight or a meat grinder or something. Attention, the petrol tank and the filler neck are not far away!
