Review on πŸ” Celestron PowerSeeker 70EQ Telescope - Compact and Portable Manual German Equatorial Telescope for Beginners with Bonus Astronomy Software Package - 70mm Aperture by Tom Lantz

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Inexpensive, easy to assemble and ideal for beginners.

I ordered this telescope without reading the reviews first. I checked it out, read the specs and thought it would be a great deal. Considering the price, there was a lot going on with this telescope. It was extremely easy to assemble. You don't even need a manual (although I would use it anyway), everything goes without a hitch. I had it together and stargazing for an hour. It's easy to spot objects in the sky, easy to align, and see through them very clearly. The 3x Barlow lens that comes with the kit also makes a big difference. I can unreservedly recommend this telescope for both beginners and advanced users. When I then read the reviews, I noticed a lot of hatred for the cell phone adapter that came with it. To be honest they must have gotten something very different than me. It fit my phone (Pixel 4XL) perfectly and was easy to put on. It does take a bit of work to line it up with the lens, but it's doable and works pretty well. I mean, don't expect awards for the photos you take, but they're still pretty good. If this adapter fits my phone, it will fit almost any other phone. I'm glad I made this purchase, in the short time I've had it I've really liked it. As someone who does nature and astrophotography this was a fun and very happy purchase.
