I was looking for a speaker to listen to audiobooks because the volume on my tablet wasn't loud enough. I've tried a number of speakers - famous brands and brands I've never heard of. My only requirements were Bluetooth 5.0 and light weight with good battery life. This speaker turned out to be the best of any speaker I've tried. It has better throw than any other speaker, even those rated 100 feet. The battery lasts longer than other small speakers I've tried, connects easily and stays connected securely. I have an Anker speaker which I liked better for the size and buttons, but it kept crashing with the Library app I used to listen to audiobooks with. It looks like an app issue, but it only happens with the Anker speaker. Given that and the fact that I bought this speaker on sale at half price from Anker, this speaker is my pick. I don't use it for music, and even if I do I'm not picky about bass etc - I really enjoy listening to the radio or using my Pandora Echo Dot so I don't know what audiophiles would think of this speaker. I was hesitant to buy a brand I had never heard of, but so far so good; Only time will tell if it will be reliable in the long run.
