This product has allowed me to install a TV in one room and a UPS in a media cabinet in another room. This allows my TV to be powered by the UPS (I have a pure sine wave UPS). When my Vizo TV loses power it takes 3-5 minutes to restart from this state. I used 14/2 wire (black, white, and ground) to get the 30 or so feet I needed. I only work with TV and don't walk far so 14/2 was fine, after 50ft or more I would use 12/2. Make sure you cut the inside line on the template, otherwise your hole might be too big. . Finishing to match from there. It should be noted that I have: 1 x 50ft HDMI (rather thick) 1 x speaker wire and a 3.5mm cable coming out, exposed portion and space fills up really fast! Please be careful if you plan to work through a lot and always insert the thickest wire first.
