A problem, and that is the manufacturer's problem. Looking at my second photo uploaded it appears that the open space at the balls of the feet causes the wearer's entire weight to rest/land on the sole in the middle and this was very painful and caused bruising to both legs. To compensate for the THIN SOLE OF THE SHOES AND ONE, the protruding grip in the middle of the foot in the area of the THIN SOLE, I bought an athletic insole and the shoe feels great. Now they feel great when running and next time they won't bruise. A slightly thicker outsole and additional traction in the empty area of the shoe sole fix this problem. Good luck👍🏽
