The boots are so thin that one of mine broke when I first received them. As seen in the picture. Insoles are expensive, so these shoes and buying new insoles defeat the purpose. I can't tell how they carry like the others but it was a bad first look for me. Hump under my foot, thought they might have added some padding but they didn't. I think these shoes with some emphasis on the insoles would make a good pair. but unfortunately they are back.

****Update**** below. Good shoes and quite comfortable. Not broken in yet so I have blisters on my Achilles tendon. They hold up well in mud and forest. I wear them to disc golf and love the idea. BAD for $40. I expect the soles to be better, I've used them 3 times for 3 hours each. The edge of the outsole has some aggressive marks and they are already almost completely worn out. A problem, and that is the manufacturer's problem. Looking at my second photo uploaded it appears that the open space at the balls of the feet causes the wearer's entire weight to rest/land on the sole in the middle and this was very painful and caused bruising to both legs. I read some reviews that said this shoe runs small. Although I don't know their specifics, in my case these shoes fit as expected. The sock is rolled up so it feels small at first, but wearing it more often relaxes me and makes me feel comfortable on my feet.
