Everything worked fine at first, I wasn't sure how good the picture is as I attributed it to my monitor which is probably around 15 years old. But after setting this up for almost a year, when I plugged in my monitor it ran for a few seconds with a series of blinking dots and then the external monitor went black. I blamed the old monitor and bought a new one, but the same thing happened - white dots, then no picture. Turns out my 15 year old monitor works better than this crap! When I plugged in the new hub, everything worked fine. Bye hubby. Anyhow, I've stopped recommending this one as well because it doesn't offer enough slots to connect power, monitor, keyboard and mouse (unless your keyboard and mouse can be connected together), so it doesn't include a full setup .
