Perfect! Replaced my rented Time Warner cable modem with this one.

Excellent! Replaced my rented Warner cable modem that went from $5/mo to $8/mo so I'm now saving $96/year. I also switched to ooma for phone service that costs less than $5/month and they have premium service for an additional $10/month. You need to buy a box of Ooma, which costs $100 today. All I can say from the negative reviews about Time Warner is that my purchased modem works just like the rented one. When they read reviews about ooma and Time Warner customers, they state that when they switch to ooma and they still rent their modem, that the modem they bought doesn't work with the Time Warner phone, that Time Warner suggests that you keep both modems - the rented one and the bought one - that the rented one is only used for your phone for free - they lower the rent - and the bought one is only used for the internet connection - so you get 2 modems - no rent - that's what I'm for went to ooma internet calling service and the basic package has caller id, call waiting, 911 and unlimited calls to us however some reviews indicate there is a limit of 5000 minutes per month. When I got the modem and connected my Time Warner cable to it - after it booted up - you started the computer and a Time Warner call message appeared on my screen on the computer and the screen said a new MAC number of the modem that Time Warner should switch from the rented modem to your modem to connect to the Internet. The TWC representative was very helpful and changed and then canceled the rental. So personally I have this modem connected to the ooma box and the other ethernet to the computer and both the phone service and the computer are working fine.
