I probably wore them UNDER a long sleeve shirt for about 20-25 outings in the summer heat and humidity. They often sit on my elbows for up to four hours between a car ride and a cross-country bike ride. Guess what. I hardly notice them. They were so tight when I first put them on that I felt my arm tightening an hour after taking them off after only wearing them for a few minutes. However, they quickly stretched out. I was afraid they would stretch further, but that hasn't happened so far. I have never had a serious forearm/elbow injury. I'd say they're good for moderate falls, but they don't offer the same level of protection as full-hard plastic DH armor. Worth wearing!
