Residential unit with "Industrial Finish "

Here are my first thoughts on the Midea Cube dehumidifier. some dirt in a bucket to collect water. I asked for a replacement which arrived within a day. Weight: This device is definitely heavy; requires considerable forearm strength to lug around a 50 pint version. Functionality: Based on my previous comment on the QA/QC of the first device (or lack thereof), it is not surprising when I found that the Wi-Fi connection was unstable for the first few days. . However, the replacement had no trouble connecting to the WiFi. The device does its job of reducing humidity perfectly. I ran several tests and was able to reduce the humidity in the room by 10-15% in 4 hours. After that he did a great job to keep it at that level. All 3 modes (Max, Continuous and Target) work as described. Remember that when you start the device for the first time; The unit is set to continuous mode and will be taken out of mode by changing the humidity setpoint. Application: Setting up and pairing is very easy. All the controls are on the main page eg room humidity/target humidity, fan speed, water level etc. There are even some quick use cases at the bottom. Accuracy: based on testing with third-party Z-Wave sensors; The accuracy of the device's humidity sensor is 5%. Cons: First, the device's fan initially blows room-temperature air, but after a few minutes, the air is almost 20 degrees hotter than the surrounding air. This definitely relates to a possible overheating/fire. Fans in both modes (high and low) are very noisy. You must place the device far enough or you won't be able to have a conversation - After the device has been on for a while and you try to empty the bucket; Note that there will still be some condensation/water in the main unit that will come out and run onto the floor/carpet. To prevent this; When draining the water, proceed as follows: Turn off the unit -> Tilt the dryer main unit (top) on all 4 sides so that the existing/condensed water flows into the bucket underneath -> Place the top part on the mat - > Drain the sub-unit.
