Review on High-Quality RG8x Coaxial Cable: 50ft CB Coax Cable with UHF PL259 Male to Male Connectors - Ideal for HAM Radio, Antenna Analyzer, Dummy Load, SWR Meter by Craig Lovro

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good Quality RG8x Coax Cable

The 20ft piece I ordered was installed as an extension to an existing quarter wave magnetic vertical that is installed on my fridge. I live in an apartment building and there is no option to place anything outside or on the roof. This piece of coaxial cable made no difference in the current draw of my transceiver in transmit mode. This would indicate that the line impedance, i.e. the transmission path, does not change significantly. I haven't tested it with an analyzer for all good parameters like impedance and SWR, but no changes in current is a good sign. qualitative. You could say they almost moved on to my Yaesu and then to the Amphenol SO socket. This cable nomenclature is a bit misleading as you might think you're getting an RG-8U with a larger body. This cable is slightly larger in diameter than the RG-58U. However if this cable has good internal specs then the loss is nominal and probably lower than some cheap RG-8u which have very poor quality connectors. It seems to be a really good quality coaxial cable perfect for my needs. I use it on a two meter device with a full 80 watts of RF output. Soon this line segment alone will go to a 2m, 5 element wide yagi that I am building. A real monster for a housekeeper. I will be using the analyzer for this project in the near future, To see all the technical aspects of my line, and if there are any problems with this cable I will revise my rating in the review. At the moment, however, I cannot imagine that we will find any discrepancies with him. I am an experienced radio and television technician and radio amateur. Over the years you develop an intuitive understanding of products, what they look like, connected devices, etc. Of course, no alarm went off from the RF adapter vendor about my 20ft RG8x coaxial cable. My order arrived on time and was in the original packaging which is definitely brand new. I am happy with the seller, the speed of delivery and every other aspect of this order.
