crap, don't buy it! in Wires and Connections

This stuff was junk. I used this when installing a new antenna and the SWR was sky high. The center piece broke on one end then I installed another cable and the SWR was fine and threw that cable in the trash, waste of money.

Pros
  • Regular Price
Cons
  • Slightly Torn

DO NOT CUT THE END

If you want to cut the ends to get the wire through a smaller hole while trying to solder new ends. DO NOT BUY THIS. the shield inside is very difficult to tin. Will not work with two different types of flux or solder in multiple combinations.

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • No paint required

Acceptable quality within 70 meters

50 feet on 5/8 wave of a 70 meter Browning base antenna with little loss. Decent quality pl259 with pretty good soldering. Subtle flexible outer material. As this is a pre-built cable I can't comment on the braids or shielding but it performs well in the field with very little leakage.

  • Nice

This is how the central bank works. best digital coaxial cable

This is a cable. 20 feet was about the right length for a 2-door Wrangler (2 feet is too long to fit through the interior and stand against the roof). I'm glad I didn't get a shorter one for the CB (middle of the cockpit, near the roof). In short, it would be better if installed under the dash (16ft?). But the KB works, so the cable does its job!

Decent coax cable

Needed to replace the RG58 coax cable that went to my stacked dipole antenna used in my ham radio shack so that's what I got. Overall the cable looks ok but I'm not sure if the length was correct. Although I haven't measured it, other 50ft cables that are very similar in length tend to have 10-15ft of extra length, so this one was either short or the others were long, leaving very little trace regret .

  • Cables and connections
Cons
  • Can't remember

Good for the price.

This is an overview of a 100ft coaxial cable. There have been many complaints about the PL259 center contact being soldered. Photo at the ends of the coaxial cable I received. Not the best, I've made worse, but I don't sell to others. I'm not complaining about the price. I'm going to heat the centers to make sure the solder isn't just on the tip, it's flowing along the line. A simple continuity test showed no shorts between center and screen. If I encounter any problems while using it I will…

Pros
  • Audio Cable
Cons
  • Ugly Packaging

Good Quality RG8x Coax Cable

The 20ft piece I ordered was installed as an extension to an existing quarter wave magnetic vertical that is installed on my fridge. I live in an apartment building and there is no option to place anything outside or on the roof. This piece of coaxial cable made no difference in the current draw of my transceiver in transmit mode. This would indicate that the line impedance, i.e. the transmission path, does not change significantly. I haven't tested it with an analyzer for all good parameters…
