Even if they call it 6 cups we all probably know from all the reviews that the 'cup size' they are talking about is not a normal person's is would consider a cup of coffee. I had a large 8 cup french press, nice chrome and all glass, but it was too big for me as I'm the only coffee drinker. I was always afraid of breaking it and the chrome parts often looked stained after hand washing it. I think it's the perfect size for 1 coffee drinker. I like to have 2 decent cups of coffee (maybe 10-12 ounces per cup) on weekends and that's just over 2 cups. The black holder also protects the glass so I don't break it if I bump it against the sink wall. I'm very happy with it and it was a great price compared to some others I've seen.
