Purchased to cut through 3/4" thick plywood. When drilling a test hole in a 3/8" piece of plywood to "feel" the bit, it broke. The teeth weren't sharp enough to make a clean cut and could snag on the wood and when he finally grabbed the tree it slipped and snapped so we were only able to make a practice cut and had to go to the hardware store to get a better quality drill bit Get quality. Don't waste money!
