Review on Enhanced Olympus WS-110 WMA Digital Voice Recorder by Gopal Baltimore

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Overall very good for digital voice recorders

I bought this voice recorder to record music. I'm a cello student in college and I needed something to at least record my lessons. I looked through many recorders before buying this one. Here's my advice: look at the specs; When you buy an Olympus recorder, visit their website to see sample rate and other specifications. For example, you'll notice that in High Quality mode, the sample rate is 44.1 kHz (CD quality). Consider how much space you need. As for me, I'm not skimping on this recorder; it would be quickly moved to my computer or iPod, so there was no point in buying more space on it. My opinion on the recorder at the moment: Good recording quality, almost CD quality. Of course, it works best with an external microphone. I like the ease of use. The best part is that it works just like a USB device; You remove the battery case to see that it's essentially a fancy USB drive. No additional software. Just put it in the right folder :) Recording is easy too; Click the big red button and you'll start recording. Update: I've had this recorder for over a year now and love it. With an external microphone and good device placement, I can get quality recordings. I use it most of the time for my classes and it's both discreet and effective. Highly recommend for everyone.
