Good buy - digital voice recorders

Record about 16 hours with one AAA battery, easy to use, intuitive interface. Works like a flash drive to transfer files to and from a PC, just plug it into a USB port. Sound quality and sensitivity are very good, but even better with the ME-15 microphone (louder and clearer). The only reason I didn't give it five stars is that the buttons aren't recessed, so it can be accidentally turned on or off.

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some little things

Olympus WS-110 has increased in price by 300%! It should be good

I bought this item about a year ago and then bought another one from Revain for $57. It is currently available from Revain for $147. What's going on here? It's the same subject. Is it so in demand and hard to get that sellers triple the price? Wonderful! Wanted to buy a friend, but not now! The price is outrageous. But I must say that even in the large courtroom where I do my clerk's work, they are very effective.

Recording couldn't be easier

Whether you are using this to record classes, to keep track of what happened in a meeting, or to record therapy or coaching for a clinical review, this is a great product . I needed a recorder with no additional software (installing anything at work is an IT problem). This voice recorder acts as a USB storage device and allows you to easily transfer files from the voice recorder to any PC based computer. The sound quality surprised me. I used other recording equipment and the recording was…

Convenient digital voice recorder

This digital voice recorder is very easy to use. Friends recommended this model for recording singing lessons and lectures. So far this has been very helpful. The audio quality is very clear for educational purposes and I find that the quality of the audio recording can vary depending on the location. Please note that this recorder does not convert your files to mp3 format, so you will need software to modify the files. in mp3 or any other desired format. The small gray button on the back for…

Great little voice recorder

I needed a voice recorder for board meetings in a large room where members are asking questions or making comments. I use my voice recorder with an Olympus microphone. The recording is crisp and better than I could have imagined. After transferring the recording to my computer, I store the audio files on CDs. The only problem was that one meeting lasted three hours, too long to transfer to CD or DVD without splitting the file. I needed software to split an audio file. Try stopping the recording

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • A bit wrinkled

You'll be surprised how you managed without it before.

Easy to use, ideal for conversations and meetings that also need to be recorded. For example when you change your account on your account like when you make a long call to your ISP? insurance company? etc. They record their conversations. Why not record your own conversations for your files? Then when the Company cannot make the changes you have requested; You can "help" them remember the contents of your last call. I've used it on the fly when meeting new people by writing down their…

Amazing device - portable audio and video

I bought this recorder to record interviews for my dissertation. Last night I had a job interview in a very noisy coffee shop. I could barely hear my own voice. I was very afraid that my interview would be overshadowed by blaring music. Incredibly, I can barely hear the music on the Dictaphone, but I hear the interview loud and clear! I have another Panasonic recorder and it has ten times lower sound quality than this Olympus. I also like that this voice recorder is a USB stick. My Panasonic…

great little voice recorder

I am a hypnotherapist and life coach and bought this voice recorder to make personalized recordings for clients in my office. I then transfer them to my computer and edit, clean and polish them in my audio studio software. This receptionist has become a great helper in my office! Having recordings in WMA format helps a lot when editing them with software. As well as a USB connection to move files to a computer. The recorder is easy to use, the sound quality is good, with a decent microphone. I…

Overall very good for digital voice recorders

I bought this voice recorder to record music. I'm a cello student in college and I needed something to at least record my lessons. I looked through many recorders before buying this one. Here's my advice: look at the specs; When you buy an Olympus recorder, visit their website to see sample rate and other specifications. For example, you'll notice that in High Quality mode, the sample rate is 44.1 kHz (CD quality). Consider how much space you need. As for me, I'm not skimping on this recorder…
