Get ready to adapt.

These are fabulous ballroom shoes with legendary Capezio quality. I bought them for a Paso Doble my partner and I were working on. I would suggest if you are new to ballroom dancing start with a lower heel as they are very flexible but therefore offer little to no shin support (more like a strappy stiletto than cowboy boots). This means that they twist very easily in the middle of the foot. So, unless you're used to walking in heels and dancing forward with your weight on your toes, it can increase your chances of twisting your ankle. I have a wide toe and tend to be a taller person than most dancers so I automatically purchased a custom made shoe stretcher - https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B077RZ66YX/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 - which worked GREAT. I tried them on, marked the spots around my front foot that I knew would pose a problem if I danced in them for more than 5 minutes, and then replicated those spots on my shoe racks. Moisten the leather a little, tighten the tensioners firmly (but do not jerk, otherwise you will damage/tear the thin leather) and leave to work for 1-2 days. After this initial setup, I wear them weekly for 2 hour sessions with no problem. Highly recommended. They are well cut, with suede soles and the high heel effectively lengthens your legs.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
