Excellent for maintaining the sharpness of mechanical chisel or hand chisel blades.
After you've dunked it in water, it's very sturdy (good weight) to sit in a plastic tub and mend its carved chisels. I use a small piece of rubber mat underneath to keep it in place. A simple touch up preserves the sharpness of the original chisel edge. It's 1000 grit.
