Well, I have waist-length hair that's awful to look at every summer. I try to dry slowly on low heat and can spend 30 minutes or more straightening to get rid of the "afro" I have after drying. I have a lot of hair, but each strand is very thin and delicate. So adding all that heat really hurts it, but it takes an HOUR to dry and it looks really awful. I've only used cheap brands of hair products so I decided to try a more expensive shampoo and conditioner to reduce frizz. If anything, it got frizzier than even when I used the cheap SUAVE brands. But the only thing it did was make my hair much softer and shinier after using the blow dryer and flat iron. But as soon as I leave the house, the hair comes back.
