These clips are fine and I've bought a few just because they're cheap and work well enough. However, they are NOT the same quality as original pony clips • The metal coating is thin and they rust much faster than pony clips when used outdoors. • The width of the open jaw is not as wide as a comparable pony clip, but will grip a 2x4 wide piece. Most annoyingly, the rubber tips slip in and out easily on both the clamp end and the grip end. Also, the rubber tips are soft rubber, so the metal of the clip will eventually bite through the rubber and you'll then have no seal. However, this only applies if you haven't lost the rubber tips before this happens.
