Bought this cube as a small home automation controller. I'm tired of opening the Home Assistant app to turn an automation on or off. Pairing with the ZHA Home Assistant integration is pretty easy. Then watch zha events to get all possible events from that cube. The event contains an integer that indicates the action. There are 44 different possible actions (can be used as a binary trigger) and a floating point event. Convert the integer to octal, then you can use the following rules to determine the action (you can also use the json data directly, which contains a human-readable text explanation for each event). Determine the six sides of the cube numbered 0-524 90 degree rotation actions: 1xy, x - start face, y - end face (face up)6 180 degree rotation actions: 20x, x - butt 6 slide action: 40x , x - face up 6 impact action, 100x, x - face up, 3 shake, 0 horizontal rotation returns the floating point number of the rotated degree. With the household helper, there are endless ways to use this little cube to control everything .
